MARCH 21ST COURSE POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19 OUTBREAK. MORE DATES COMING SOON.
This is a beginner level course designed for anyone curious in taking the first step in sewing. Do you like the idea of hemming your own dresses but don’t know what bobbin thread is? Do you own a sewing machine but have never threaded it?
In this class we will gingerly cover the very basics of sewing with a home sewing machine. We will learn about the commonly used components of the machine, its stitch functions and the beginning applications of sewing fabric. At the end of the class you will know how to set up your machine, dial in your settings and sew simple stitches. You will leave with an instruction booklet of techniques learned, as well as a draw-string reusable cotton pouch that you've made during the course.
The class is taught by Winsome Founder, Kathryn Sterner.
Come as you are. All materials provided.
